Description of the

NAMI Family to Family Course

 The information is invaluable.

There is such a lack of knowledge, mass misinformation,

and stigma out there surrounding mental illness.

I took this course with another one of my family members in order to better understand and provide support for a loved one who is suffering from mental illness.

I think this 12 lesson course should be mandatory for everyone over 18. It is our responsibility as a society to become better educated about the cause, course, and impact of mental illness, both on the individual suffering and on their family members.

This course is just a starting point, but it covers a wide range of accurate and researched information that will greatly enhance your ability to be an informed caretaker/supporter and advocate for those suffering from mental illness. It is well worth the investment of time.
